A CHEF IS BORN

Chef Christopher Jones is a Louisiana native who relocated to Kansas City as an aspiring culinarian.  Chef Jones has been in the Kansas City food scene for over 20 years, studying and implementing many different types of cuisines into his menus.  He has been a featured Chef in Savory Magazine and The Pitch, as well as several other publications. His career in Kansas City started as one of the original Chefs to open Pierponts in Union Station; spending nearly twelve years with the Anderson Restaurant Group more commonly known for the Hereford House locations. Managing multiple concepts during this time as the Executive Chef or General Manager. The last restaurant he opened in Kansas City before his current venture was Seasons 52 on the Plaza. Currently Chef Chris and wife, Heather Jones, work as a team to operate a brick and mortar in Kansas City North. Mudbug Cajun Po’ Boys has developed a following for his comfort food with a twist since its first month open. From scratch Cajun influenced flare and the ability to creatively introduce his southern roots have been his keys to success. He also operates a smaller version of his menu on his food truck which is a one of a kind in the Midwest, being solar powered. He has fresh seafood flown in weekly for weekend specials. Some of the restaurants more popular specials have included Stingray, Mako Shark, Soft Shell Crab, and Blue Marlin.
